Contaminated insulation removed, nests and droppings cleaned and entry points flagged, then replaced with fresh, protected insulation.
Mice, rats and squirrels love the warmth of an attic. They tunnel through insulation, leave droppings and urine and chew wires and ducts. The material becomes unpleasant, can carry odor and allergens and loses its ability to insulate where it is flattened and soiled.
We remove the contaminated insulation using protective equipment and a sealed vacuum, clean and sanitize the surfaces with products suited to the job and point out entry points that your pest control provider should close. Then we air seal and put in new insulation to depth.
Droppings and urine soak into insulation and cannot be cleaned from it. Removal gets the source of odor and contamination out of the house.
Dust from rodent waste can carry pathogens. Crews wear respirators and protective suits, and the work area is sealed from the house during removal.
Cleaning is only half the job. We note gaps at the soffit, gable vents and roof lines for your pest provider or roofer to close, so the problem does not return.
We discuss insulation types and screens that discourage nesting. No insulation is pest proof, but good sealing makes a house less inviting.

You tell us what is going on, which rooms bother you and what you hope to change, and we set a time that fits your day.
We walk the attic, walls, crawl space and equipment, measure depths and use thermal imaging when it helps.
We protect the house, seal air leaks, place baffles and fix small problems so the insulation can do its job.
Loose-fill, batts, foam or board goes in to the planned depth, with clean edges and clear markers.
We measure the result, take photos and test air leakage when the scope includes it.
We walk the finished work with you, answer questions and leave the site clean.
We focus on cleanup and insulation. A pest control professional should handle trapping and exclusion.
The attic is sealed from the living area, and most families stay home. We explain precautions before we begin.
No insulation is pest proof, but sealing entry points and keeping the attic clean makes it less attractive.
Scratching sounds, droppings, odor, chewed wires and tunnels in the insulation are common signs.
A qualified electrician should handle wiring. We flag any damage we see.
