Insulation for shops, barns and metal buildings that controls condensation, heat and noise under a steel roof.
Metal buildings get hot under the sun and drip when warm, humid air meets a cold steel surface. The rain-like noise, the condensation on stored items and the swings in temperature are all things that insulation can help with, when the right system is chosen.
We recommend and install the system that suits your building: closed-cell spray foam applied to the underside of the roof and walls, blanket insulation with a vapor facing or rigid foam board. We detail the eaves, ridge, doors and penetrations, because gaps there are what ruin a metal building envelope. We also look at ventilation, lighting and equipment heat inside the building, because a well-sealed shop needs a plan for fresh air and for the fumes of paint, welding or animals. A short conversation about how the building is used helps us choose a system that keeps working as the use changes.
Steel is cold at night and warm air meets it, forming drops. Spray foam or a sealed vapor-facing system stops the contact between air and metal.
Closed-cell foam bonds to the metal, seals gaps and adds stiffness. It is a strong choice for workshops, equestrian barns and storage with temperature-sensitive items.
Vinyl-faced blankets are a cost-effective option for large buildings. They must be installed with sealed seams and tight edges to control moisture.
Overhead doors and personnel doors leak heat. We add insulated panels and weatherstripping to complete the envelope.

We walk the attic, walls, crawl space and equipment, measure depths and use thermal imaging when it helps.
We protect the house, seal air leaks, place baffles and fix small problems so the insulation can do its job.
Loose-fill, batts, foam or board goes in to the planned depth, with clean edges and clear markers.
We measure the result, take photos and test air leakage when the scope includes it.
We walk the finished work with you, answer questions and leave the site clean.
Warm, humid air meets cold steel and condenses. A sealed insulation layer prevents the contact.
It is excellent for condensation and sealing. Blanket systems can be more economical for large buildings.
Yes. We can foam the roof and walls from inside, or add a liner system.
Yes. It dampens the rain drumming on metal roofs.
